I’ve been training with James for a couple of years now to help with gaining some strength and fitness and I cannot praise him high enough. He’s been excellent with me in terms of training and helping keep me motivated to be the best version of myself and he’s a brilliant person to chat with on both a personal and professional level. So iv never been able to achieve my weight/muscle gain goals and needed some guidance, 5 months later I'm where I want to be with my weight gaining and muscle toning, I still have some work to do with james but I highly recommend him !!!!! His so easy going and great knowledge. He listens to what you want to achieve and takes into account if you have any injuries so you can improve with not coursing more damage.

I started training with James fourteen months ago. I have always had a lean body type and was keen to add weight and strength. James has gone above and beyond in providing training sessions, which are varied, engaging and professionally tailored to suit my goals and requirements. I reached out to James on behalf of my mum and autistic brother, wanting to find them a solution to getting fitter and starting the gym, but without the need to go to a busy public gym. James was so understanding, my mum is in her 60s and brother 30s, they obviously have very different needs when it comes to their fitness and training but James has done a truly fantastic job of working with them both. They have been going to James now for over a year, having training sessions together which they both really enjoy, they have both lost weight and inches around their waistlines. I joined Home Fit and Healthy Personal Training in August 2022 and I am just amazed with the progress I have made in such as short amount of time. I have struggled with back issues for many years. I contacted James & following an in depth consultation a training plan was put in place for my needs, my sessions started with James 6 months ago. Sessions have strengthened my core & back, no back issues now. Exercises continue to develop under James guidance & encouragement to give me increased strenghth, flexibility overal fitness.

James is the most amazing personable Personal Trainer!
I have been working with him since July 2020 with the aim of losing weight and getting fitter. I had a specific issue with my weight due to certain medication which I take. Rather than blindly promise that he could help me lose weight he researched in great detail the specifics of my case, producing research which I hadn't found myself. After some discussion we decided it was worth giving it a try. With his help and encouragement I have lost approximately a stone and a half and 6 inches off my waist. My body shape has significantly changed for the better.
James is extremely knowledgeable about diet and exercise and the relationship between the two. He provides a really individualised package of training. And he is a real encourager.
I would not hesitate to recommend James to anyone who wants a serious and personal approach to gaining or maintaining their fitness.

I’ve always been passionate about fitness — ever since joining the gym at 17 and working hard to build size and strength. In 2013, my journey took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with cancer. After months of treatment and major surgery, I had to rebuild my strength from the ground up, learning firsthand the power of perseverance and the true value of health.
That experience inspired me to change careers and become a personal trainer — helping others improve their fitness, confidence, and quality of life. Today, through My Personal Fitness Studio, I offer one-to-one private personal training designed to support every client’s unique goals.
